Little Spirit Lost

Spirit can come to you at the strangest time. Sometimes it’s the most inconvenient, but even when this happens, I am grateful, and honoured, that they chose me to connect with.

Last Friday I was doing a reading for someone and had this little child come through. Now I share this with you because this had nothing to do with the sitter and had everything to do with me. Not me personally, but she saw me as her chance for help, understanding, perhaps even the safety of a mother figure. She was lost and needed help. Here’s how it all started…

It was a cold overcast day in Winter, the crows were cawing outside, the heater releasing a blustering amount of 30deg hot air onto my legs. Yes, I was sitting on my heater…well practically.

Just joking, I bet you were thinking when did Stephen King start writing Melissa’s blogs??? LOL. With all sincerity, it was definitely that kind of morning. Although it wasn’t my intention to begin my blog in that manner. Take Two: Here’s how it all started…

I usually begin my early mornings with an energy cleanse of my Chakras and Aura. I open up my aura as a safe space for connection and set the intention for loved ones in spirit to come forward to give a message for who I’m about to read for. Well, on this particular day I was a little early in opening up and allowing spirit to connect. I knew I had a busy morning ahead of me before my reading so I thought while the house was still and peaceful wouldn’t it be a great time to meditate and prepare myself and my team. Get everyone fired up and ready for a great reading, a team debrief if you will.

Anyway, time came for the reading, and I had multiple people come through, but the most prevalent was this little girl. She had these most adorable large eyes. Her short dark brown hair cut into a pixie cut, framing her adorable little face. She looked to be about 6-9. Sitting there, with her feet up on the chair, knees tucked into her chest. Just sitting there looking up at me. I could see what she was wearing and had a sense of how she passed. I relayed this information to the sitter, and this little girl was a complete surprise to her. The sitter thought about the connection but simply couldn’t place her. So, I asked my little visitor to sit there and explained that I would pop back and chat with her when I had finished my conversation [with the sitter].

When the reading concluded, I sat back in my space, and she was still there. Waiting patiently. I had a little conversation with her, much like a mother would talk to any child who looked frightened and alone. I asked her name, in which she replied Ella. I asked why she was here, if not for [the sitter]. She said that she was lost and didn’t know where to go.

I asked, if I could help her find her way, would she want that, and she said yes. I then asked Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael to come forward and introduce themselves to Ella. They were very tall and while warm and loving in energy, Ella felt a little unsure because they were indeed so tall, and she was so little. I introduced them, I explained to Ella that they were “safe adults” (again, speaking as though any mother would), and that they would be able to help get her to where she needed to be so that she wasn’t lost anymore. I could feel her energy calm and then the next moment I saw Michael and Raphael standing on either side of Ella. Each holding her hand, they began to walk towards the door (in my spiritual loungeroom). Just before reaching the door, they stopped. Ella turned to me, smiled, gave a little wave and then in that instant, the three of them shot upwards, leaving a trail of sparkling white light in their wake. It was like when Olivia Newton-John in Xanadu lifts off and heads into another realm. Get the visual? It was pretty cool to experience. I had an instant feeling that she was home. She found her way and she was happy.

I can’t express how special it was for me and how honoured and humbled I am by the experience. The trust that little Ella placed in me to help her. I’ll be forever grateful.

This is why I love doing what I do. This is my calling.
