How to use African Black Soap:

  1. Wet your skin, and the bar of soap with water.

  2. Create a lather with the soap using your hands or a loofah / washcloth.

  3. With the lathered soap from your hands / washcloth, gently wash your skin for 1-2 minutes, avoiding your eyes - do not rub the bar of soap directly onto your skin as this may cause irritation.

  4. You can also use this same method to wash your hair / scalp.

  5. Rinse off with warm water and finish with your favourite moisturiser or body oil.

As with any new skincare product, we recommend you test a small patch of skin 24hr prior to use, to ensure no irritation or reaction occurs.

African Black Soap can be used regularly; however, we recommend introducing it gradually to your regime.

How to store African Black Soap:

African Black Soap is very soft and absorbs water easily, therefore it may quickly dissolve if not stored properly after each use.

The best way to ensure longevity of your soap is to keep it dry between uses - best stored on a wooden slatted soap dish, or similar soap dish with adequate drainage.

You can also cut / break smaller chunks off the bar to use, rather than wetting the whole bar of soap. Keep the chunk of soap stored in the same way as above until fully used, and the remaining block can be stored in a zip-lock bag or airtight container in a cool dry place until ready to use.
